Guidelines for the Interlibrary Loan Service of City University of Macau Library

Service Users

Eligible users of the member libraries of Macau Academic Library Alliance (MALA).

Limitation of Book Loan

All the general books can be loaned with the rules of our Circulation Service.

Book Borrowing Procedures

After system login and the needed book is found, fill up the contact information and select the library for pickup and then submit your request. Upon notification of acceptance, go in person to the selected library for pickup, and must also return to the same place.

On-loan Quantity and Time Period

Maximum 3 books are allowed at a time and the borrowing period must not be over 21 days. Our Library reserves the right to recall the checked out books (even those are not yet due) at any time.

Book Renewal

All checked out books cannot be renewed.

Penalty

Readers will be suspended all borrowing rights if they have overdue item. The overdue fine is MOP1 per day per item, with a maximum limit of MOP100 per item. Readers are held responsible to pay back for any loss or damage to the checked-out books. The penalty will be charged double the original price.

Commitment

Once using our services, the applicant should agree to accept the terms of these guidelines.
